Maps SEO UK ("we", "us") of 42 Onslow Gardens, South Kensington, London SW7 3PY is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of providing local SEO services. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect and why
Enquiries
When you contact us by WhatsApp or email we receive your name, phone number or email address, your business details and the content of your message. We use this to respond to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the service. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, then performance of a contract.
Client data
To manage a Google Business Profile we need access to the profile and, in some cases, your website and Search Console. We use this data only to provide the agreed service and we remove our access when the engagement ends. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
Website analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our host records standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running, retained for 30 days. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
Embedded map
The About page embeds a Google Map. Loading it sends your IP address to Google, whose privacy policy applies.
Messages sent to us on WhatsApp are processed by WhatsApp LLC (Meta) under their terms and are end-to-end encrypted in transit. Do not send passwords or payment details over WhatsApp; we will never ask for them there.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with processors we need to run the business — email hosting, cloud storage, accounting software and rank-tracking tools — under contracts that require them to protect it. Some processors are outside the UK; where that is the case we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
Retention
Enquiries that do not become clients are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the engagement ends to meet accounting and legal obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and update the date at the top.
