Maps SEO was founded in London in 2016 and has done one thing since: ranking businesses in Google's local results. We kept the focus narrow on purpose.
Why we only do local
Local search has its own rules. The ranking factors are different from national SEO, the failure modes are different — suspensions, duplicates, fake reviews, wrong pins — and the tooling is different. Agencies that treat it as a tab inside a general SEO retainer get average results because they are applying the wrong playbook.
We chose to be the specialist. Every client we take on has a physical presence or a service area, and every hour we bill is spent on the signals that move the local pack.
How we work
- Evidence over opinion. Every recommendation comes with the competitor profile or grid data that justifies it.
- Within the rules. Google's Business Profile policies and UK consumer law on reviews are not optional. We build for the long term.
- Direct access. You talk to the person doing the work, on WhatsApp, and get an answer the same day.
- Reporting you can verify. Everything we report is visible in your own Google Business Profile and Search Console.
